Foundation
Compared to the overwhelming majority of the world’s population (and many parts of Australia’s population), we occupy a position of rare privilege: materially, socially and in many other respects. With this privilege comes responsibility – the responsibility to use our good fortune to help those less fortunate. The Kain C+C Charitable Foundation is the vehicle through which we do this.
The Foundation is a public ancillary fund, having been endorsed as a deductible gift recipient by the Australian Taxation Office.
Each of our team members makes a fortnightly donation to the Foundation. Our business then matches those donations dollar for dollar. By 30 June 2009, the Foundation had raised more than $100,000.
Each team member has committed to spending at least 10 hours each quarter (roughly one week each year) performing volunteer work through programs sponsored by the Foundation.
